If you are eligible for Medicare, and are offered COBRA (the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) by your employer, your COBRA coverage will be secondary to Medicare. This is true whether you have signed up for Medicare or not. The rules that apply when you are working and eligible for Medicare are different from the rules when you stop working.
